If you are using a Mac, note that you will only be able to launch the game from the Origin Client. All you need to do is download The Sims 4 Legacy Edition, then launch the game. If you need to switch to The Sims 4 Legacy Edition, you may get an error message that says “Unable to start due to missing game data.” Read more about our system requirements if you still aren’t sure if you need Legacy Edition. If you aren’t sure your Mac supports Metal, check here . Why is this happening?Īs of late 2019, we no longer support The Sims 4 on Non-Metal mac OS machines or PC 32-bit Operating Systems. It won’t be available for new Simmers, only people who already own the game. Sims 4 Legacy Edition is a free edition of The Sims 4 and The Sims 4 Deluxe Version for players on unsupported systems.
